8 Tips on Prospecting and Recruiting
#1: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip – Feel Your Prospects’ needs. Put Yourself in Your Prospects’ Shoes. Connecting with your prospect is the very first thing you need to do. Just imagine being the prospect, how does he or she see your opportunity? To understand this, the first thing you need to know is how the prospect sees themselves.
Ask them questions about their current situation to feel their needs but don’t add fuel to the fire. This might cause them to feel sorry for themselves and you don’t want to do that. You don’t want to add burdens; remember you are there to help your prospect.
#2: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip – Don’t Be AT the Presentation, You Be IN the Presentation. The purpose of the presentation is to get the prospects approval, right? Then your presentation has to get their attention and have them hanging on to every word you say.
You don’t want to bore them with a presentation that’s on automatic pilot. You need to make sure your presentation has them sitting on the edge of their seats with excitement. Let them feel your presence!
#3: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip - Don’t Push Your Prospect. If they’re Not Interested. If you sense your prospect is rejecting your presentation don’t push it. You don’t want to chase them away. Understand not everyone wants to join your business and there is nothing you can do about it.
“NO” means exactly that, so don’t try to push them by giving them rebuttals. Deliver your message as clear as your can and respect their decision.
#4: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip – Throughout the Conversion Mention Your Prospects Name. When you’re having a one-on-one presentation, the sweetest word you can pronounce is your prospects name.
You will keep their attention much longer if you would say their names no less than 3 times within the first 3 minutes of your conversation. Make sure the last word they hear is their name.
#5: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip – Make Sure Your Environment is Distraction Free. If you are conducting a home meeting, make sure your audience won’t have any interruptions or distractions. Ask them to turn off their television, radio and phones.
Before your presentation ask everyone if they would turn their phones off. The interruptions will affect your momentum. You want to have all eyes and ears on you only.
#6: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip – “NO” Hype. Create Hope. Avoid marketing hype. Don’t try to hype them. It’s no good for either of you; it will just turn your prospects away from you. If you want to be successful in MLM/Network Marketing you must create hope for your prospects.
Hope for a better lifestyle. Hope for a brighter future for themselves and their loved-ones. Hope for residual income. Hope is like a magnet, it pulls your prospects to you. This should become your main focus!
#7: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip – Patience and Follow-Up. You will not always get an immediate response for your offer from your prospective recruits. Don’t push them. Allow them some time to digest the offer. Ask them if they would like to give your opportunity some thought first and if 8 hours would be enough time for them to decide? You don’t want to wait too long because they may forget before you follow-up with them.
#8: Prospecting and Recruiting Tip – Building a Relationship with your Recruits. Okay. You were successful at recruiting your prospect but you don’t want to stop there. Start building a meaningful relationship with them so they will become a business partner. They should feel like they’re in hands because of the support you’ve provided them.
Duplication is the key to this business. By helping your recruits they will give back by helping others to do the same thing. These are the people who will help you to reach your goals and build your dreams.
